Askew's Foods Claim this business

Askew's Foods Uptown is the newer of the family-owned grocery chain's two Salmon Arm stores, at 2701 11 Ave NE. Askew's traces its roots to 1929, when Dick Askew bought the Salmon Arm branch of AE Palmer and Company, and the family-owned company now runs five stores across Salmon Arm, Sicamous, Armstrong and Enderby. The Uptown store has bakery, deli and meat departments, a pharmacy, and a wellness centre stocking vitamin supplements, homeopathic remedies and natural skin care. When it opened, it also featured a 45-seat café beside the deli, and the building was sited with its back to the Trans-Canada Highway. Askew's describes the location as environmentally friendly in its design, and the chain works with local bakery, dairy, meat and produce suppliers. Current café and pharmacy hours aren't listed here, and the owners can claim this listing to add them.
