The Den Comedy Club is a speakeasy-style comedy room tucked inside Wolfsmiths, at 201 Woodard St near Lindale Park and just next to the Heights. There's no signage and the entrance is hidden. Look for the white orchids inside the building and follow them to the secret door.
Shows run Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, mixing Houston's best local comedians with visiting acts, plus special touring headliner events. The club was started by two Houston comedians who thought the city deserved more places where people from all walks of life can get together for a drink and a laugh.
The room is cozy and a little swanky, with wood accents, soft lighting and woven textures. Wolfsmiths provides the food and drinks: craft cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic options, all ordered from your table. Tickets are sold through Eventbrite, and doors open 30 minutes before showtime. The Den also hosts group and private-event comedy shows.
